About us

My name is Zita, and my daughter is Aliz - together we founded ALIZITA: a brand for practical, sustainable and high-quality clothing for babies and toddlers.

Our journey began with a star-shaped wrap blanket I received as a gift before Aliz was born. It was simple, cozy, and incredibly practical – I loved it so much that I wanted to share the idea with other parents. So I developed it further – and that's how the ALIZITA Staroveralls were born: to make everyday life with babies a little easier and even sweeter.

Maybe it sounds like a cliché, starting a baby clothing brand after becoming a mother, as if it were just a cute hobby. I had my doubts, too, until I realized how challenging it is to build a business with a baby in my arms. Today, I see it as a leap into a whole new universe. I wish every woman and mother felt supported, empowered, and carried by other women -together we are stronger.

Even though I'm the face behind the idea, ALIZITA wouldn't have been possible without my mother and my husband. My mother, a former seamstress, supported me with her knowledge and many tips on fabrics, patterns, and sewing. My husband helped me especially with the business side - with his start-up experience and knowledge of bureaucratic and financial hurdles - and thus freed me up so I could concentrate fully on product development and creative direction.

I'm incredibly grateful to all my family and friends for their love, support, and babysitting. Without them, none of this would be possible.
